Job summary

Flinders University in Darwin invites a Senior Lecturer for the Northern Territory Medical Program. You will lead medical education design and delivery across the Doctor of Medicine program, shaping learning experiences for students in rural and remote settings.

Qualifications

• Current registration, or eligibility for registration, with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA).
• Extensive contemporary clinical experience in acute and/or primary healthcare settings.
• Proven track record of excellence in tertiary teaching and in design, delivery and evaluation of learning experiences across classroom, clinical and simulation environments.
• Knowledge of contemporary medical education practices, curriculum development and student learning outcomes.
• Strong communication, collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills across education, healthcare and community sectors.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic leadership in design, delivery and continuous improvement of medical education for the Doctor of Medicine program.
• Lead innovative teaching initiatives including clinical skills training, simulation-based learning and work-integrated learning.
• Build and maintain partnerships with health services, government agencies and educational institutions to support workforce development.
• Drive curriculum development and educational best practices with a focus on rural and remote health and Indigenous health contexts.
