Flinders University invites applications for the part-time, fixed-term role of Medical Director, Regional Training Hub NT in Alice Springs, NT. You will provide strategic leadership to strengthen medical education and training across rural and remote settings, collaborating with health services, colleges and government agencies.

Qualifications

• Current registration, or eligibility for registration, with AHPRA, supported by extensive contemporary clinical experience in the Northern Territory.
• Excellence in tertiary/clinical/simulation-based teaching, with experience across multiple stages of medical training.
• Outstanding communication and relationship-building with students, healthcare professionals, universities, colleges and stakeholders.
• Experience providing educational leadership and strategic input into medical education programs, with knowledge of rural/remote training pathways and accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Providing academic and strategic leadership for the Northern Territory Regional Training Hub, developing and supporting medical training pathways across rural and remote settings.
• Building partnerships with health services, specialist medical colleges, government agencies and other stakeholders to increase training capacity and workforce sustainability.
• Leading, mentoring and supporting medical students, pre-vocational doctors and specialist trainees through teaching, supervision, and career development.
• Contributing to curriculum leadership, accreditation activities and continuous improvement initiatives for high-quality medical education outcomes.
