Job summary

NSW Health’s Lightning Ridge Multi Purpose Service is seeking a Health & Security Assistant to support the care delivery team and safeguard the facility. You will work across wards, assist with patient transfers, cleaning duties and portering, and provide security-related duties as required.

The role requires shift work on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays, and compliance with applicable checks such as the NDIS Worker Screening Check.

Qualifications

• Physically fit and reliable.
• Clear communication skills.
• Able to stay calm in busy or urgent situations.

Responsibilities

• Support the care delivery team in patient care under nursing guidance.
• Undertake shift work on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
• Provide general assistance in wards, cleaning duties and portering for patient transfers.
• Undertake security-related duties as required and directed.
