Job summary

Southern NSW Local Health District is seeking a Health and Security Assistant to protect and support our rural community. You will help maintain safety and order across facilities, assist with ward duties, patient transport, cleaning, and security tasks as required.

The role requires NSW Security licence Class 1A (or willingness to obtain), a current First Aid certificate, ability to work a 24/7 roster, good communication, and physical capacity to lift and transfer patients.

Qualifications

• Current NSW Security licence (Class 1A minimum) and ability to maintain the licence and current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain within 3 months of employment.
• Knowledge of and willingness to support person-centred care in a health care environment.
• Experience working with diverse people and maintaining a friendly, respectful approach.

Responsibilities

• Support safe, patient-centred care as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Assist with ward duties, patient transport, cleaning and security tasks as required by clinical staff.
