Job summary

JPS Recruitment Group has secured a four-week contract for a Registered Nurse to join Stanthorpe Hospital's General Ward in rural Queensland. Based in Stanthorpe, the role delivers direct patient care, with up to 80 hours per fortnight from 8 October to 1 November 2026.

You will work in a supportive team to manage acute care in a rural setting. The ideal candidate holds AHPRA RN registration, ALS certification, and experience in cannulation, triage, and emergency response, with strong teamwork

Qualifications

• Current ALS certification.
• Demonstrated cannulation and emergency response skills.
• Experience with triage and patient prioritisation.
• Proven experience in rural or remote healthcare settings.
• Strong teamwork and communication across ward and hospital services.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a rural general ward.
• Work up to 80 hours per fortnight from 8 Oct to 1 Nov 2026.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to support ward operations.
• Potential to assist other hospital services as needed.
