Job summary

JPS Recruitment Group has secured a four-week contract for a Registered Nurse to join Stanthorpe Hospital's General Ward in rural Queensland. Based in Stanthorpe, the role delivers direct patient care, with up to 80 hours per fortnight from 8 October to 1 November 2026.

You will work in a supportive team to manage acute care in a rural setting. The ideal candidate holds AHPRA RN registration, ALS certification, and experience in cannulation, triage, and emergency response, with strong teamwork

Stanthorpe Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its General Ward team on a four-week contract basis. Based in Stanthorpe, Queensland, this role offers the chance to deliver direct patient care in a rural healthcare setting, working up to 80 hours per fortnight from 8 October through 1 November 2026. The successful candidate will bring advanced clinical skills and a collaborative approach to a dynamic ward environment.

Preferred Requirements

• Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification
• Demonstrated competence in cannulation and emergency response procedures
• Experience with triage assessment and patient prioritisation
• Proven experience working in rural or remote healthcare settings
• Strong team leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across ward and hospital services

Preferred Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
