Five Good Friends in Brisbane seeks a full-time Rostering and On Call Coordinator to support our rostering team across Australia. You’ll work with Helper Coordinators and Team Leader to ensure all visits run smoothly, arrange coverage for emergencies, and match Members with the right Helpers.

The role offers flexible working from our South Brisbane HQ with occasional work from home, plus a wellness allowance and extra annual leave; we value people who stay calm under pressure and learn fast

Qualifications

• 1+ years of rostering experience (essential).
• Experience in health, aged care, community care, or disability sectors (highly regarded).
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Understanding of Aged Care and NDIS workforce compliance (or willingness to learn).
• Familiarity with the Fair Work Act and SCHADS award (highly regarded).
• Strong tech skills and ability to learn new systems quickly.

Responsibilities

• Use rostering software to identify and contact suitable Helpers for short-term, one-off, and emergency services.
• Roster both independent contractor and employee Helpers.
• Collaborate with Care Teams to solve rostering challenges.
• Communicate roster changes to Members and their Care Teams.
• Answer hotline calls and texts from Helpers and Members, triaging and resolving queries.
• Ensure Helper compliance with aged care and NDIS screening requirements.

We’re looking for a full-time Rostering and On Call Coordinator to join our team and help us deliver seamless, responsive care across Australia.

What you’ll do and who you’ll work with:

You’ll be part of our Rostering Support Team, working closely with Helper Coordinators and the Team Leader to ensure all scheduled Member visits are delivered. You’ll play a key role in arranging coverage for emergency and short-term vacancies, and help match Members with the right Helpers.

We’re hiring for one full-time role with shifts Sunday - Thursday (7.6 hours per day) between the hours of 6:00am and 8:00pm AEST.

Our rostering team operates 365 days a year, with active shifts:

• Mon–Fri: 6:00am–8:00pm AEST
• Sat–Sun: 6:00am–5:00pm AEST
• You may also be rostered for On Call support outside these hours.

Your Day-to-day Will Include

• Using our software and app to identify and contact suitable Helpers for short-term, one-off, and emergency services.
