Job summary

FAMASO is hiring rope access technicians across IRATA Level 1 to Level 3. The role involves varied at-height tasks such as window cleaning, facade repair, painting and sealant work across national contracts, with some interstate travel.

Level 3 supervisors will run sites, manage safety, client relations, and mentor technicians, backed by the leadership team. Candidates should be physically fit and safety conscious.

Qualifications

• IRATA Levels 1–3 with logged hours.
• White Card (Construction Induction).
• Experience at height with rope access and related works.
• Ability to travel interstate as required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver rope access works including window cleaning, facade repair, painting and sealant application.
• Perform daily safety cycle activities: toolbox talks, pre-starts, and rescue drills.
• Maintain gear with daily checks and report defects promptly.
• Assist with height safety system installation and rectification.
• Support the crew and client relationships on site as required.
• For Level 3: lead the site, supervise the crew, manage safety, quality and timings.

Job description

Join a national specialist services business on the ropes. We are hiring rope access technicians at every IRATA level: Level 1 and 2 technicians building logged hours and skills, and Level 3 supervisors ready to run their own sites. The work is varied: window cleaning, facade repair, painting, sealant application and anchor-based works across our national contracts, so some interstate travel is required. For Level 3s, this is hands-on site leadership: you run the crew, the safety cycle and the client relationship, backed directly by the State Operations Manager and the leadership team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Deliver rope access works to standard: window cleaning, facade repair, painting, sealant application and anchor-based tasks

Work the daily safety cycle: toolbox talks, pre-starts, rescue drills and complete documentation, every day

Look after the gear: daily checks and care of personal rope kit and shared equipment, with defects reported the same day

Assist with height safety system installation, inspection and rectification

Work as part of a rescue-ready crew: buddy checks, rigging checks and clear communication

Present professionally around clients, staff and the public

Support other business units with non-rope works when required

For Supervisors (IRATA Level 3): run the site: lead the crew, own supervision, safety, quality and time, act as the key client contact on site, and train and mentor your technicians

ABOUT YOU

IRATA Level 1, 2 or 3 with logged hours

Construction Induction (White Card)

Experience, or demonstrated aptitude, in window cleaning, facade or maintenance works at height

Trade skills in painting, sealant application or minor repairs well regarded

Strong WHS awareness and rescue preparedness

Physically fit, reliable and presentable, willing to support non-rope works when the business needs it, and available for some interstate travel

For Supervisors: proven experience leading rope access crews in high-rise settings, confident with clients and site documentation
