Job summary

Farrelly Construction Services – Singleton NSW seeks experienced IRATA Level 3 Rope Access Technicians to lead crews on projects across Newcastle, the Hunter Valley and surrounding NSW regions. This full-time role requires supervision of rope access fronts, safety leadership and readiness for maintenance and shutdown work.

Applicants must have an IRATA Level 3, Working at Heights and First Aid certificates, a current medical and Australian working rights, plus White Card.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience supervising rope access teams and work fronts.
• Current Working at Heights certification.
• Current First Aid certificate.
• Current medical and valid Australian working rights.
• Strong understanding of safety systems, risk management, and IRATA compliance.
• White Card.
• Ability to lead crews and coordinate site activities effectively.
• Mining and heavy industry experience.
• Experience in shutdowns and maintenance environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead rope access teams across multiple sites including maintenance, inspections and shutdowns.
• Ensure IRATA compliance and safety procedures on all projects.
• Coordinate with site trades and management to plan access operations.
• Oversee equipment readiness and incident reporting during access works.

About the Role

FCS is seeking qualified IRATA Level 3 Rope Access Technicians for upcoming projects and ongoing maintenance works throughout Newcastle, the Hunter Valley, and surrounding NSW regions.

These full-time positions will involve work across a range of environments including maintenance, inspections, construction, shutdowns, and specialist access projects. Applicants must be based in NSW, within driving distance of the Hunter Valley, or willing to relocate.

Requirements
