EVT Limited is seeking a Rooms Division Manager for Rydges Fortitude Valley to lead Front Office, Reservations and Housekeeping, driving occupancy, ADR and RevPAR while upholding guest service and safety standards.

You will partner with General Manager, Revenue Manager and Sales to optimize revenue, manage costs, and mentor a high-performing team in a dynamic hotel environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead Front Office, Reservations and Housekeeping with workforce planning and handovers.
• Perform Manager on Duty shifts and oversee hotel in the GM's absence.

Rooms Division Manager - Rydges Fortitude Valley

The role: As Rooms Division Manager, you'll provide strategic leadership and run the day-to-day operation of Front Office, Reservations and Housekeeping. Working closely with the General Manager, Revenue Manager and Sales team, you'll lift occupancy, average rate, RevPAR and profitability while keeping guest service, room presentation, safety and compliance at the highest standard.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and direct the Front Office, Reservations and Housekeeping teams, with effective workforce planning and accurate, timely handovers
• Perform Manager on Duty shifts and oversee the hotel in the absence of the General Manager and Executive Assistant Manager
• Build a culture of exceptional guest service, including handling feedback, online reviews and complaints with professional service recovery
• Grow rooms revenue ahead of market through yield management, inventory control and distribution strategy, working with the Yield team
• Analyse competitor activity, demand patterns and events, and run displacement analysis on group business
• Own Rooms Division financial performance, including RevPAR, ADR, occupancy, labour costs and productivity, with clear monthly commentary
• Oversee reservations across all channels, monitoring booking pace, forecasting accuracy and conversion
• Ensure housekeeping standards, preventative maintenance and room condition meet brand expectations, working with the Facilities Manager
• Champion the EVT Stays program, drive loyalty enrolments and promote other EVT properties and experiences
• Recruit, coach and develop your team, with regular performance reviews, training and succession planning
• Maintain a strong Work Health and Safety culture, and manage compliance and operational, financial and reputational risk
