Job summary

Jobstar in West Ryde, Sydney, is seeking an experienced Room Leader to guide educators, deliver high-quality early childhood programs, and support the Centre Director to strive for excellence.

You will lead planning, curriculum delivery and family communication, ensuring EYLF and NQS standards are met in a safe, nurturing environment while mentoring new staff and fostering a strong team culture.

Qualifications

• Diploma or teaching degree in Early Childhood Education.
• Unrestricted full-time working rights in Australia.
• Previous Room Leader experience is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of EYLF and NQS.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication.
• Current Working with Children Check.
• Current First Aid/CPR/Asthma and Anaphylaxis/Child Protection training, or willingness to obtain.

• Lead and develop the team to deliver a high-quality cycle of planning, curriculum and outcomes for each child in your room.
• Ensure that all documentation of children’s learning is visible and accessible to families and meets regulatory requirements.

• Maintain positive working relationships with all team members.
• Ensure a high level of health & safety standards are maintained at all times.

We are currently seeking an experienced Room Leader to join our team at West Ryde, supporting strong and consistent practice within the rooms.

You will provide leadership in delivering high quality, inclusive learning programs, while working closely alongside the Centre Director to strive for an exceeding centre.

About you:

• A Diploma / Teaching Degree in Early Childhood Education and Care (or an ACECQA-approved equivalent)

• Strong Knowledge and experience of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the National Quality Standards (NQS)
• Outstanding level of verbal and written communication
• A current Working with Children Check
• A current approved First Aid/CPR/Asthma and Anaphylaxis/Child Protection training, or willingness to obtain
