Job summary

anzuk Education on the Central Coast is seeking an experienced Room Leader to guide the 1–2 year old room in a well‑established service. You will create a nurturing, developmentally appropriate learning environment and work closely with your team to deliver high‑quality programs for toddlers.

In a supportive leadership team with strong resources, you will build strong relationships with families, support each child’s learning journey and contribute to a positive workplace culture that values

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent) required.
• Strong knowledge of EYLF and NQS and ability to apply in practice.
• Previous room-leading experience and leadership capability.

The Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Room Leader to lead the 1–2 year old room within an established and supportive service. As the Room Leader, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging and developmentally appropriate learning environment for children aged 1–2 years. You will work closely with your team to deliver high-quality educational programs, build strong relationships with families and support each child’s individual learning journey.

You will be supported by experienced educators, a dedicated leadership team and excellent resources to ensure you can provide the highest quality outcomes for children in your care.

The Ideal Educator

You will hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent) and demonstrate a strong understanding of the EYLF and NQS, with the ability to apply this knowledge in practice. You will have previous experience leading a room, excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for supporting the growth and development of children in the toddler age group.

The ideal candidate will:

• Hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent)


• Hold current First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications (HLTAID012)


• Hold a current NSW Working With Children Check


• Demonstrate strong knowledge of the EYLF and NQS


• Have previous Room Leader experience or be ready to step into a leadership role


• Be passionate about providing high-quality care and education for children aged 1–2 years
