Job summary

Sparkways Whittlesea ELC is seeking an experienced Room Leader for a permanent, full-time position in Melbourne. You will lead the 0-2 year room, create a warm, nurturing environment and mentor Educators to deliver high-quality early childhood education.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care is required.
• 3+ years' experience in Early Childhood Education.
• Previous Room Leader experience in a 0-2 room is preferred.
• Experience with 0-2 year olds and a passion for this age group.
• Strong programming, planning and documentation skills.

In this role, you'll lead our 0-2 year room, creating a warm, nurturing and engaging environment where babies and toddlers feel safe, secure and supported to learn and grow.

You'll work closely with your team and families to deliver high-quality early childhood education and care, while supporting and mentoring Educators in their practice.

About you

You will bring:

• Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
• 3+ years' experience in Early Childhood Education
• Previous Room Leader experience
• Experience working with 0-2 year olds and a genuine passion for this age group
• Strong programming, planning and documentation skills
• Confidence supporting, guiding and mentoring other Educators
• A nurturing, responsive and child-focused approach
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
• Professionalism, confidence, energy and a great sense of teamwork
