Job summary

Sparkways is a leading not-for-profit Early Years Management group offering you career stability, flexibility and progression. We are seeking casual relief staff to work in sessional and long day care kindergarten settings across Western and Northern suburbs of Melbourne.

Earn AU$37.00–AU$41.50 per hour, with many shifts available including early starts (6.00 am) and a start by 8.30 am. The role requires a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, and at least one year’s

Qualifications

• Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in long day care kindergarten or sessional kindergarten.
• Confident and experienced in working with children with additional needs.
• Available at least three days per week to accept shifts.
• Rapid Response: shifts starting as early as 6.00 am with start by 8.30 am.
• Available for 8 hour shifts starting at 8.00 am.
• Positive references from Centre Directors or Nominated Supervisors (last 5 years).
• Described as child-centred, dependable, confident, competent, positive and energetic.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in our sessional or long day care kindergarten settings.
• Support educators and teachers in daily activities.
• Follow centre policies and child safety procedures.
• Engage with children in a variety of play-based learning activities.

Join Sparkway’s busy casual relief team – work at our sessional kindergartens in the Northern & Wetern suburbs

• $37.00 to $41.50 per hour – subject to experience & qualifications
• Many shifts available if you can accept shifts at 6.00 am and start work by 8.30 am on the same day
• Western Suburbs Footscray, Maribyrnong, Tarneit, Point Cook, Melton, Thornhill and 8 other locations in Western Suburbs
• Northern Suburbs: Beveridge, Donnybrook, Mernda, Doreen, Thomastown and Mill Park

• Positive references from your Centre Directors or Nominated Supervisors over the last 5 years
• People describe you as child-centred, dependable, confident, competent, positive and energetic
• You love working with children, and are eager to work with different groups, educators and teachers
