Job summary

Sparkways is a not-for-profit organisation delivering high-quality early childhood education across Melbourne’s northern and western suburbs. Expressions of interest are open for qualified Early Childhood Educators for sessional kindergarten roles in Melbourne’s north or inner west.

We welcome Cert III and Diploma-qualified Educators who value play-based, child-led learning and supporting children to learn, explore and thrive.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in a sessional kindergarten setting outside of student placements.
• At least 3 years of experience in a long day care setting outside of student placements.
• Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA-approved qualification).
• Strong understanding of play-based learning, VEYLDF and NQS.
• Commitment to inclusive practice and supporting children with additional needs.
• Positive, reliable and collaborative approach to working with children, families, Teachers and Educators.

Are you a qualified and experienced Early Childhood Educator looking for an opportunity in sessional kindergarten in Melbourne's north or inner west?

We invite expressions of interest from Cert III and Diploma-qualified Educators who are passionate about play-based, child-led learning and supporting children to learn, explore and thrive.

Experience we’re looking for

To be considered, you will need:

• At least 1 year of experience in a sessional kindergarten setting, outside of student placements; OR


• At least 3 years of experience in a long day care setting, outside of student placements.


• A Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent ACECQA-approved qualification


• A strong understanding of play-based learning, VEYLDF and NQS


• A commitment to inclusive practice and supporting children with additional needs


• A positive, reliable and collaborative approach to working with children, families, Teachers and Educators

Our locations

Opportunities may be available across our west kindergarten services, including:

West: Thornhill Park, Melton West, Melton South, Point Cook, Tarneit, Deanside, Rockbank, Aintree, Mambourin, Hill Side, Diggers Rest, Burnside & Plumpton
