Job summary

Thrive Early Learning Centres invites an experienced Room Leader to oversee day-to-day operations, lead educational planning and mentor team members in alignment with the Learning for Life Curriculum and the Early Years Learning Framework.

You will ensure safety, quality, and compliance across the room, while actively engaging families and maintaining meticulous records. This role contributes to Thrive’s commitment to high standards in education and care across NSW and Victoria.

Qualifications

• Diploma required and ACECQA approved.
• Current Working with Children Check for the state the role is based in.
• First Aid, CPR, asthma and anaphylaxis qualifications required.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, delivery and evaluation of educational programs guided by the Learning for Life Curriculum, the Early Years Learning Framework and children's interests.
• Monitor and support the quality of observations, documentation and planning across your room.
• Champion child safety and maintain knowledge of child protection and mandatory reporting obligations.
• Ensure room practice complies with National Law, National Regulations, National Quality Standard and Thrive policies.
• Support the Thrive Quality Framework and Centre Quality Improvement Plan, and prepare for Assessment and Rating.
• Coach and support educators, trainees and students, helping new team members settle in.
• Keep families informed and respond to feedback professionally.
• Ensure observations, documentation and compliance records are accurate and on time.

About the role

As a Room Leader you lead the day to day running of your room. You set the standard for educational practice, guide your team, build strong relationships with families, and make sure your room is safe, well organised and ready for anything, including Assessment and Rating.

What you will do

• Lead the planning, delivery and evaluation of educational programs guided by the Learning for Life Curriculum, the Early Years Learning Framework and children's interests

• Keep families informed and respond to feedback professionally

What you will bring
