Job summary

Holiday Inn Melbourne is seeking part-time Room Attendants with an exceptional eye for detail to ensure every guest enjoys a memorable stay. You will clean and present rooms to IHg standards, handle laundry tasks, and assist guests with towels or chargers as needed.

This is a physical role, mostly on your feet, with shifts 3–4 days across a 7-day roster, including weekends and public holidays. Training and uniform provided, plus hotel-wide benefits and generous room discounts.

Qualifications

• Must be physically fit and able to stand for long periods.
• Ability to lift up to 23 kg and perform standard housekeeping tasks.
• Basic reading, writing and numeracy skills required.
• Flexible availability—3–4 day shifts, rostered across 7 days; may include weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Clean and present every room to IHg standards.
• Vacuum, mop, clean bathrooms, change bed linen, dust, and more.
• Assist guests with towels, chargers, and other requests.
• Keep supervisor informed of progress or problems.
• Monitor and manage supplies to minimise waste.
• Assist with regular deep cleaning projects.

We take our housekeeping standards seriously. So, we’re searching for part time Room Attendants with an exceptional eye for detail and a passion for perfection to make sure every guest enjoys a truly memorable experience.

A little taste of your day-to-day:

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

• Making sure every single room is clean and perfectly presented
• Cleaning duties including vacuuming, mopping, cleaning bathrooms, changing bed linen, dusting and more, all in line with our "IHG Way of Clean" standards
• Helping our guests in any way you can – whether they need more towels or a phone charger
• Keeping your supervisor in the loop by advising them of any progress or problems
• Monitoring and controlling supplies to minimise waste
• Regularly assisting with deep clean projects

What we need from you:

• It’s a physical role and you’ll be on your feet most of the day, so fitness is important
• The ability to lift heavy items, move mattress bases, push trolleys up to 23 kilograms - we'll train you how to do this safely
• You may need to bend, kneel, reach and stretch to complete some activities
• Literacy skills - basic reading, writing and maths skills
• Flexible availability– available to work 3-4 day shifts, rostered across 7 days and you may be required to work weekends and/or public holidays
