Job summary

InterContinental Hotels Group in Melbourne is seeking Part-time Room Attendants to maintain pristine guest rooms in line with the IHG Way of Clean.

You will clean, vacuum, change linens, assist guests with requests, and help with deep cleaning projects. This role requires physical stamina and a flexible schedule, including weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be physically able to lift up to 23 kg.
• Flexible availability including weekends/public holidays.
• Prior housekeeping or hospitality experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Clean and present each room to IHG Way of Clean standards.
• Vacuum, mop, clean bathrooms, change bed linen, dust surfaces.
• Assist guests with towels, chargers, or other needs.
• Monitor supplies and assist with deep cleaning projects.

So, we’re searching for part time Room Attendants with an exceptional eye for detail and a passion for perfection to make sure every guest enjoys a truly memorable experience.A little taste of your day-to-day:Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be: Making sure every single room is clean and perfectly presented Cleaning duties including vacuuming, mopping, cleaning bathrooms, changing bed linen, dusting and more, all in line with our \"IHG Way of Clean\" standards Helping our guests in any way you can – whether they need more towels or a phone charger Keeping your supervisor in the loop by advising them of any progress or problems Monitoring and controlling supplies to minimise waste Regularly assisting with deep clean projectsWhat we need from you: It’s a physical role and you’ll be on your feet most of the day, so fitness is important The ability to lift heavy items, move mattress bases, push trolleys up to 23 kilograms - we'll train you how to do this safely You may need to bend, kneel, reach and stretch to complete some activities Literacy skills - basic reading, writing and maths skills Flexible availability– available to work 3-4 day shifts, rostered across 7 days and you may be required to work weekends and/or public holidaysWhat you can expect from us:We give our people everything they need to succeed.
