Job summary

Mantra Heritage, Inlet and Village in Port Douglas is seeking a Room Attendant to join our Housekeeping team. You will clean guest rooms, restock supplies, and ensure privacy and safety while delivering warm, guest-focused service.

We offer casual and part-time roles with adult wages for those 16+. Base rate is $27.08 per hour, with higher loads on weekdays, weekends, and public holidays. Accor ALL benefits apply, with opportunities in a global hospitality group.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience is a plus.
• Warm and welcoming communication with guests and team members.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean all sections of guest rooms, including linen changes and bathroom cleaning.
• Maintain and restock housekeeping trolleys and keep them organized.

Mantra Heritage, Inlet and Village are three properties located in the heart of Port Douglas in Tropical North Queensland, one hour drive north of Cairns CBD. This power trio property offers stylish studios, one and two bedroom suites with saltwater lagoon pools, sundecks and lush tropical gardens. Spend your downtime snorkelling The Great Barrier Reef, the largest coral reef ecosystem on earth, enjoy the scenic sky rail through the heritage rainforest or simply relax and take a crocodile sightseeing cruise through the mangroves.

Purpose

As a Room Attendant, you play a vital role in our Housekeeping department and dazzle our guests by keeping our rooms super clean and paying attention to every tiny detail. Your responsibilities extend beyond the physical tasks and include collaborating harmoniously within the team and helping guests whenever needed. Your dedication ensures that every guest has a wonderful stay, leaving with cherished memories of great hospitality.

Casual Positions:

Casual loading on all hourly rates! Base rate of $27.08. With Loadings: Monday - Friday $33.85ph, Saturday $40.62ph, Sunday $47.39ph and Public Holidays $67.70ph!

Part-Time Positions:

Base rate of $27.08ph from Monday - Friday! Saturday $33.85ph, Sunday $40.62ph and Public Holidays $60.93ph!

Primary Responsibilities

Thoroughly clean all sections of the guest rooms, such as changing linens, cleaning bathrooms, and wiping down surfaces, all to ensure an exceptional first impression

Work diligently within the established guidelines to achieve the impeccable standards we hold dear

Maintain and restock housekeeping trolleys, keeping them organised and well equipped

Use cleaning materials with care and adhere to safety protocols to ensure a secure environment

Respect guest privacy and security, upholding our commitment to their comfort

Report maintenance issues promptly, showing your dedication to a flawless experience

Skills and Experience

Previous experience as a cleaner or room attendant is a plus

Your communication style is warm and welcoming where guests and team members alike feel right at home around you!

You have an eye for detail and work efficiently, managing your time well and taking pride in your tasks

You enjoy a physical role, navigating between rooms may involve using internal and external staircases and open pathways

You embrace collaborating with colleagues from various backgrounds

Reliable transportation and availability to work a variety of shifts including weekends and public holidays as required
