Job summary

Novotel Surfers Paradise is seeking enthusiastic and energetic Room Attendants to join our housekeeping team. In a 408-room hotel, you will help maintain guest room cleanliness, restock amenities and ensure a high standard of service for our guests.

Casual positions with rotating shifts, including early mornings, weekends and public holidays. You will work with a friendly team, use a two-way radio, and receive hotel staff discounts and ACCOR perks.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or hotel housekeeping preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver a high standard of service.
• Must be able to work varied shifts including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of guest rooms, corridors and service areas.

About the job…

At the Novotel Surfers Paradise, we are not only focused on our guests, but also our people. We are seeking enthusiastic and energetic, experienced Room Attendants to join our diverse Housekeeping team. Ideally you have previous experience in a similar role in a hotel with 200+ rooms. We are currently offering casual positions.

As part of the Housekeeping team you will be responsible for offering a quality customer service experience by maintaining the cleanliness of guest rooms, guest corridors and service areas. The role involves but is not limited to changing bed linen, making beds, cleaning bathrooms and restocking amenities. We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a team environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Attending to guest enquiriesand requests in a timely manner
• Cleaning guests rooms as required, seeing them shine
• Carrying out allocated cleaning duties to achieve brand standards throughout the hotel
• Transferring dirty linen and removing rubbish andrecycling
• Safe handling and use of chemicals

To be successful in this role, you have a passion for the Hospitality Industry and are committed to delivering high levels of customer service, you will have unlimited work rights in Australia and will be available to work varied shifts from early mornings to late evenings, including weekends and Public Holidays as per our business demands.

Experience:

• Previous Hotel cleaning experience.
• A can-do positive attitude & service with a smile
• A keen eye for detail whilst having good time management skills
• Excellent communication skills and comfortable to use a two way radio
• Excellent personal presentation
• Flexible in your availability to work on a rotating 7 day roster including weekends & school holiday’s (& overnight when required)
• Understanding of correctchemical usage & manual handling techniques to ensure safe work practices in this physical role
• MUST HOLD VALID AUSTRALIAN WORK RIGHTS, we are not offering sponsorship.
