Job summary

Novotel Surfers Paradise is seeking a reliable Stores Officer (Receiving & Distribution) to join our hotel team. In this hands-on role, you will receive, check, store and distribute stock to hotel departments, ensuring supplies to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

This is a part-time role, minimum 20 hours per week, 8am-12 noon Monday to Friday. You will work in a busy hospitality environment, handling stock control, inventory counts, and safe operation of pallet jacks and trolleys.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in stores, warehouse, receiving, logistics, or hospitality preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to lift and move stock safely in a physically active environment.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with multiple departments.
• Basic computer skills and inventory systems desirable.
• Current RSA valid in QLD

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming deliveries, ensuring accuracy against purchase orders and invoices.
• Unload, label, store, and rotate stock in accordance with procedures.
• Deliver goods and supplies to hotel departments in a timely manner.
• Maintain storerooms in a clean, organised, and safe condition.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory counts and stocktakes.
• Report damaged, missing, or incorrect items to suppliers and management.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards.
• Assist with stock control, ordering processes, and record keeping.
• Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and trolleys safely.
