Job summary

Roofing Group in Hastings, Victoria is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team on a full-time basis. You will prepare cost estimates and quotations for roofing and cladding projects, coordinating with sales, project management, and production to deliver competitive pricing.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of estimating experience in roofing or construction, strong knowledge of materials and installation methods, and proficiency with estimating software and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Proven 3–5 years’ experience as an estimator in roofing, cladding or construction.
• Strong knowledge of roofing/cladding materials and installation methods.
• Proficient in estimating software and MS Office (Excel).
• Ability to interpret drawings, specs and technical documentation.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and quotations from drawings and site data.
• Analyse material costs, labour, equipment, and overheads for pricing.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing data.
• Review tender documents to ensure estimates align with scope.
• Maintain estimating databases and templates.
• Collaborate with sales to present estimates to clients.
• Work with project managers to reconcile estimates with actual costs.
• Monitor market trends and material price fluctuations.
