Programmed GO in Broadford, VIC is seeking Roads Maintenance Workers for a 6-month temporary assignment. The role is based outdoors with a compressed 4-day week, starting early and finishing in the afternoon, Tuesday to Friday, within a municipal road maintenance environment.

You will perform road repairs, pothole patching, drainage and traffic management, wear safety gear, and work as part of a safety-conscious crew.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted Australian Driver Licence (Class C).
• White Card (Construction Induction Card) held.
• First Aid Certificate with CPR current.
• Traffic Management / Traffic Controller ticket current.

Roads Maintenance Worker – 4 Day Week | Broadford $46+/hour

We are seeking experienced and safety-focused Roads Maintenance Workers to join an outdoor operations crew based in Broadford on a 6-month temporary labour hire assignment.

The Role

Reporting to the Broadford depot, your duties may include:

• Assisting with road maintenance and repair works
• Pothole patching and cold-mix road repairs
• Culvert and drainage maintenance
• Traffic management and worksite setup
• Operating and working around small plant and equipment
• Manual labour including shovelling, lifting and general outdoor maintenance work
• Participating in daily pre-start and toolbox meetings
• Working safely around live traffic environments and civil machinery
• Contributing positively within a team-based depot environment

Hours and Pay

Employment Type: Temporary Labour Hire Assignment (6 Months)

Location: Broadford, VIC

Roster: Tuesday to Friday

Hours: 6:30am – 4:34pm

This role operates on a compressed 4-day work week and requires reliable attendance and punctuality.

Essential Requirements

• Current unrestricted Australian Driver Licence (Class C)
• Current Traffic Management / Traffic Controller ticket
• Current White Card (Construction Induction Card)
• Current First Aid Certificate with current CPR
• Strong commitment to workplace safety
• Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions
• Good communication skills and a team-focused attitude

Highly Desirable

• Medium Rigid (MR) or Heavy Rigid (HR) Truck Licence
• Previous local government roads maintenance experience
• Experience operating small plant equipment
• Familiarity with rural road maintenance activities
• Proactive approach to hazard identification and risk management
