Job summary

Randstad Pty is seeking three Roads Maintenance Workers for Broadford Council Depot on a temporary 6-month Labour-Hire contract. You will perform routine maintenance on municipal roads, operate outdoors with a safety-focused crew and ensure sites are safely prepared.

Role requires a valid Australian Car License (Class C), Traffic Management ticket, White/Red Card, and First Aid Level 2 with CPR. MR/HR licenses are desirable for priority consideration.

Qualifications

• Must be physically fit and able to work outdoors.
• Must hold and provide proof of required tickets/certifications.
• Experience in road maintenance is a plus.

About the Opportunity Are you a physically fit, hands-on worker who enjoys being outdoors? We are currently seeking three dedicated Roads Maintenance Workers to join our outdoor operations crew on a 6-month contract.

Operating out of the Broadford Depot, you will play a critical role in keeping our community moving safely. Your day-to-day work will involve maintaining municipal road infrastructure and executing essential routine repairs across the shire.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Carrying out routine maintenance and repairs on the municipal road network.
• Working outdoors as part of a collaborative and safety-focused field crew.
• Ensuring work sites are set up safely and effectively.
• Helping us maintain high safety standards for the local community.

What You Need to Bring (Mandatory): To hit the ground running, all applicants must hold and provide proof of the following prior to starting:

• Valid Driver’s License: Current, unrestricted Australian Car License (Class C) to operate council utility vehicles.
• Traffic Management Ticket: Valid Traffic Controller / Traffic Management Implementation ticket.
• White/Red Card: Current Construction Induction Card.
• First Aid Certificate: Minimum Level 2 / Provide First Aid, including up-to-date CPR.

Bonus Points (Highly Desirable):

• MR or HR Truck License: Do you have a Medium Rigid or Heavy Rigid truck license? Let us know! Candidates who can operate larger tip trucks or support vehicles will be highly prioritized.
