Job summary

HR Partners is recruiting three Roads Maintenance Workers for Broadford Council Depot on a 6‑month Labour‑Hire contract. Duties include routine road maintenance, outdoor fieldwork, and safety‑focused operations from Tuesday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 4:34 PM.

Mandatory licenses include a current Australian Car License (Class C), a Traffic Management Ticket, and a Construction Induction Card. MR/HR truck license is a bonus for priority handling.

Qualifications

• Valid Australian Car License (Class C) to operate council vehicles.
• Traffic Management Ticket: Traffic Controller / Traffic Management Implementation.
• MR/HR Truck License is a bonus and highly prioritized.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on municipal road network.
• Work outdoors as part of a safety‑focused field crew.
• Ensure work sites are set up safely and effectively.

About the Opportunity Are you a physically fit, hands-on worker who enjoys being outdoors? We are currently seeking three dedicated Roads Maintenance Workers to join our outdoor operations crew on a 6-month contract.

Operating out of the Broadford Depot, you will play a critical role in keeping our community moving safely. Your day-to-day work will involve maintaining municipal road infrastructure and executing essential routine repairs across the shire.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Carrying out routine maintenance and repairs on the municipal road network.
• Working outdoors as part of a collaborative and safety-focused field crew.
• Ensuring work sites are set up safely and effectively.
• Helping us maintain high safety standards for the local community.

What You Need to Bring (Mandatory):

• Valid Driver’s License: Current, unrestricted Australian Car License (Class C) to operate council utility vehicles.
• Traffic Management Ticket: Valid Traffic Controller / Traffic Management Implementation ticket.
• White/Red Card: Current Construction Induction Card.

Bonus Points (Highly Desirable):

• MR or HR Truck License: Do you have a Medium Rigid or Heavy Rigid truck license? Let us know! Candidates who can operate larger tip trucks or support vehicles will be highly prioritized.
