Job summary

Randstad in Broadford is seeking three Roads Maintenance Workers for a 6-month contract based at the Broadford Council Depot. This role offers a 4-day roster (Tuesday to Friday) with a 6:30 am–4:34 pm schedule, delivering a long weekend every week and outdoors work maintaining municipal roads.

You will join a safety-focused crew, carry out routine maintenance and repairs, operate council vehicles with a valid license, and meet the mandatory tickets and first aid requirements.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Australian Car License (Class C).
• Traffic Management Ticket required (TM).
• Construction Induction Card (White/Red Card) required.
• First Aid Certificate with CPR to date.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on the municipal road network.
• Work outdoors as part of a safety-focused field crew and set up sites safely.
• Support high safety standards for the local community.

About the Opportunity

Are you a physically fit, hands-on worker who enjoys being outdoors? We are currently seeking three dedicated Roads Maintenance Workers to join our outdoor operations crew on a 6-month contract.

Operating out of the Broadford Depot, you will play a critical role in keeping our community moving safely. Your day-to-day work will involve maintaining municipal road infrastructure and executing essential routine repairs across the shire. What

You'll Be Doing:

• Carrying out routine maintenance and repairs on the municipal road network.
• Working outdoors as part of a collaborative and safety-focused field crew. Ensuring work sites are set up safely and effectively. Helping us maintain high safety standards for the local community.

What You Need to Bring (Mandatory):

• Valid Driver's License: Current, unrestricted Australian Car License (Class C) to operate council utility vehicles.
• Traffic Management Ticket: Valid Traffic Controller / Traffic Management Implementation ticket.
• White/Red Card: Current Construction Induction Card.
• First Aid Certificate: Minimum Level 2 / Provide First Aid, including up-to-date CPR.

Points (Highly Desirable):

• MR or HR Truck License: Do you have a Medium Rigid or Heavy Rigid truck license? Let us know!
• Candidates who can operate larger tip trucks or support vehicles will be highly prioritized.
