SMEC is seeking a Project Manager to lead end‑to‑end delivery of major Roads & Highways infrastructure projects in Canberra. You will oversee delivery across the full lifecycle, ensuring safety, on‑time and within budget, while partnering with clients and stakeholders.

Ideal candidates will have 6–12 years’ experience in transport infrastructure, a relevant engineering degree, and a strong track record in programme management, cost control, risk management and governance.

Formación

• 6–12 years of experience delivering Roads & Highways or major transport projects.
• Experience in engineering consultancy or client-side delivery.
• Engineering degree or related discipline.
• Strong background in project management, including cost, risk, governance.
• Ability to manage clients and stakeholders across complex environments.
• Commercial awareness and ability to manage project financials.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Experience with government or transport authorities is highly regarded.

Responsabilidades

• Manage end-to-end delivery of Roads & Highways projects.
• Oversee programme, cost, risk and quality across delivery.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams across planning, design and delivery.
• Manage client relationships and act as a key contact.
• Coordinate internal and external stakeholders, including agencies and utilities.
• Support commercial management including variations, forecasting and reporting.
• Contribute to bids, tenders and project growth opportunities.
• Deliver transport infrastructure projects across roads, intersections, and related works.
