SMEC, a global engineering consultancy, is expanding its Roads & Highways capability on the Gold Coast. We’re seeking Senior, Associate and Principal level Civil/Transport Engineers with 10+ years’ experience in roads and major transport infrastructure.

You may engage in design delivery, technical reviews, and potentially leadership across multidisciplinary teams, providing mentoring and client relationship growth. Flexible arrangements may apply.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience across roads, highways or major transport infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of road design and/or Independent Verification.
• Experience in multidisciplinary project environments.
• Ability to review and communicate complex engineering information clearly.
• Strong stakeholder, client and project-team communication skills.
• Experience providing technical guidance or mentoring to developing engineers.
• For Associate/Principal: leadership and client relationships, governance and BD involvement.
• RPEQ registration or eligibility to obtain RPEQ is highly regarded.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver and lead road and highway design across major transport infrastructure projects.
• Undertake technical reviews and provide senior engineering input across complex design packages.
• Support or lead contract administration, verification and design assurance activities.
• Review engineering designs, calculations, reports and technical documentation.
• Provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary project teams.
• Manage packages of work across scope, program, quality and commercial requirements.
• Work collaboratively with clients, delivery partners, contractors and stakeholders.
• Support design coordination and integration of roads, structures, drainage, geotechnical and other disciplines.
• Mentor and develop engineers to strengthen technical capability within the team.
• Associate/Principal level: contribute to project pursuits, client relationships, technical governance and business development.
