Job summary

Victoria Police invites applications for a Team Leader in the Road Policing Enforcement Division. Based at the Victoria Police Centre, Docklands, you will supervise daily operations, mentor staff and coordinate training within RPED.

You will analyse issues, implement improvements to operating processes and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient compliance with legislation. A customer-focused, collaborative approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a leadership capacity, coaching and developing staff.
• Ability to interpret and apply complex legislation/policy.
• High level problem solving skills.
• Proven ability to work in a team environment through flexibility.
• Strong interpersonal skills, both verbally and written.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, supervise and undertake the administration and personnel functions of the Unit, providing motivation, mentoring and training coordination.
• Investigate, research and analyse issues and recommend improvement initiatives applicable to standard operating processes.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient business practices.
• Direct and manage the flow of active files to ensure timely processing in line with legislative requirements.
• Undertake administrative, auditing, financial and purchasing activities including briefs and reports for Senior Management.
