Job summary

Connect People Pty Ltd is seeking experienced Road Maintenance Workers with MR licence (or higher) to join the team at the Rydalmere depot in Sydney. You will conduct planned and reactive road maintenance across Sydney’s road network, including vegetation control, pothole and graffiti work, and minor concreting.

The role offers a Monday–Friday roster with day and night shifts; based at Rydalmere, with a temp-to-perm opportunity and hourly rates of $41.46 day shift or $51.41 night shift plus

Qualifications

• MR Licence or higher is essential.
• Experience in road construction or road maintenance.
• Experience working around live traffic environments.
• Physically fit and able to perform hands-on labouring tasks.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive road maintenance works.
• Perform vegetation control and roadside maintenance.
• Remove graffiti and repair potholes and asphalt.
• Install and repair road signs; undertake minor concreting.
• Support general civil labouring and maintenance tasks.
• Work safely around live traffic environments; operate tools and equipment.

This is a great opportunity for candidates with road maintenance or road construction experience who are looking for consistent work. You’ll be part of a team delivering planned and reactive maintenance works across Sydney’s road network.

• Nightshift rate $51.41 p/h + super

What you'll be doing:

• Carrying out planned and reactive road maintenance works
• Vegetation control and roadside maintenance
• Graffiti removal
• Pothole repairs and asphalt maintenance
• Road sign installation and repairs
• Minor concreting works
• General civil labouring and hands-on maintenance tasks
• Working safely around live traffic environments
• Operating vehicles, tools and equipment as required

What you need:

• MR Licence or higher (essential)
• Previous experience in road construction, road maintenance or civil infrastructure
• Experience working safely around live traffic environments
• Strong understanding of workplace safety procedures
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Physically fit and willing to perform hands-on labouring dutiesReliable, safety-focused and able to work as part of a team
