Job summary

Transport for NSW is seeking a permanent full-time operator in Balranald, NSW, to perform maintenance and manual labouring tasks on road projects. You will work with tools and equipment, travel to various sites, and contribute to safer and longer-lasting infrastructure.

The role requires safety focus, reliability, and flexibility to work outside standard hours. Aboriginal or disability adjustments may be accommodated.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid White Card (Construction).
• Current Class C driver licence (minimum P1).
• Be prepared to obtain Traffic Controller cards within 3 months of employment.
• Ability to work in high-speed, high-volume traffic environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and labouring tasks using plant, equipment and hand tools.
• Conduct road maintenance activities including widening, barrier installs, and heavy patching works.
• Travel across the region to attend worksites and respond to call-outs.
• Contribute to safer, smoother roads and longer-lasting infrastructure in outdoor environments.
