Job summary

Transport for NSW is seeking a proactive Road Worker Lead to manage a small crew and coordinate maintenance activities across the Southern Highlands region. You will lead non-trade staff, ensure safety, and deliver works to TfNSW standards.

This full-time on-site role may include night shifts, travel within the Southern Highlands, and camping at locations away from base. A White Card and Traffic Control certification are required.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of a small team in civil construction environments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Commitment to safety, environment, and quality controls on site.
• Ability to interpret maintenance diagrams and plans is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small crew and coordinate short-term planning and resourcing for maintenance activities.
• Provide guidance and direction to team members in a non-trade environment.
• Resolve routine problems and participate in team meetings with improvement suggestions.
• Ensure safety, environmental and quality controls are implemented on site.
• Oversee timely completion of scheduled maintenance and works to TfNSW specs.
