Job summary

Transport for NSW in Hay is seeking a proactive Team Leader Grade 1 to manage maintenance crews across Riverina roads. You will supervise a small team, plan resources, and ensure safety, environmental and quality controls on site.

You will lead daily operations, coordinate short-term works, read plans, and contribute to project delivery while maintaining strong stakeholder relations and adherence to TfNSW specifications. On-site, permanent full-time role.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Construction Industry White Card.
• Must hold a Traffic Control certification.
• Must have a current unrestricted NSW Driver’s Licence.
• Experience operating as Road Worker Grade 3 or related labouring in a civil construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team with well-defined work practices to meet plans and project specs.
• Lead a small crew and coordinate short-term planning and resourcing for maintenance activities across the Riverina region.
• Provide guidance and direction to team members, manage routine problems, and participate in team meetings.
• Resolve conflicts between team members or others outside the team and provide on-the-job training as required.
• Ensure safety, environmental and quality controls are implemented on site and complete scheduled maintenance on time.
