Job summary

Transport For NSW is looking for an experienced road maintenance or construction professional to join the Narrabri depot on a permanent full-time basis. You will lead a small team undertaking road maintenance and construction activities, ensuring work is completed safely and to the required standards.

You will coordinate daily work, allocate tasks, train team members, and work with contractors and internal stakeholders to deliver quality road outcomes across NSW.

Qualifications

• Current Construction Industry White Card.
• Current Australian motor vehicle driver’s licence (Class C); minimum requirement: Provisional P1 licence.
• Willingness to undertake any legislated or internal licensing or ticketing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a small team undertaking road maintenance and construction activities, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required standards.
• Coordinate daily work activities, allocate tasks and support your team to achieve planned maintenance and project outcomes.
• Oversee activities including pavement maintenance, drainage works, roadside fixtures, signage and other road infrastructure improvements.
• Promote safe work practices by identifying hazards, managing risks and ensuring compliance with work health and safety and environmental requirements.
• Provide practical guidance, on-the-job training and feedback to team members, supporting their development and performance.
• Work collaboratively with contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve operational issues and deliver quality outcomes.
