Job summary

Ventia is seeking an experienced Works Supervisor based near Ballarat to lead road maintenance and incident response teams from Stawell. You will drive safe, efficient delivery of maintenance programs, coordinate subcontractors, and uphold HSEQ standards in a dynamic field environment.

The role requires leadership, a White Card, a valid Driver’s Licence, and strong knowledge of pavement and asphalt practices.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in road maintenance and network management.
• Mandatory General Construction Induction Card (White Card) and current Driver’s Licence.
• Strong knowledge of road maintenance, pavement, surfacing and asphalt practices.
• Proven ability to deliver strong safety, quality, environmental and operational outcomes.
• Experience leading maintenance works, materials, quality, resources and programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance programs safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specs and standards.
• Plan, coordinate and manage routine and periodic maintenance activities, resources, assets, and personnel.
• Monitor asset performance, productivity and costs, implementing corrective actions.
• Manage maintenance personnel, inspectors and contractors, ensuring training and compliance.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental legislation; participate in safety meetings and toolbox talks.
• Monitor and report on maintenance performance and asset records.
• Coordinate subcontractor management and performance, including environmental controls.
• Support emergency response and incident management as needed.
