Job summary

Transport for NSW is seeking a Road Worker to join the Fernbank Maintenance Crew in Port Macquarie, NSW. This is a permanent full-time, in-person on-site role within the Mid North Coast district.

You will perform road maintenance and manual labour using plant and hand tools, with activities including grass cutting, drain cleaning, pavement repair and incident response. White Card and traffic controller certification are required or obtainable within 3 months.

Qualifications

• White Card required.
• Traffic Controller Card (or obtain within 3 months of employment).
• Willingness to undertake any legislated or internal licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform road maintenance and manual labouring tasks using plant and equipment and powered/non-powered hand tools.
• Road maintenance activities may include grass cutting, drain cleaning, pavement repair and incident response.
• Work with Team Leaders and Works Supervisors to manage day-to-day operations and resolve issues.
• Occasionally attend call outs as required.
• Follow WHS legislation and procedures to minimise risk and maintain safe work standards.
