Job summary

WorkPac is offering a 6-month wet weather contract in Mackay, Queensland, to operate ancillary mining equipment on a 7/7 roster with 12-hour shifts. The role requires proven Water Cart, Grader, Dozer, and Scraper experience, plus a valid licence and Coal Board Medical.

Camp accommodation and meals are provided, with weekly bonus opportunities. Earn about $84.63 per hour with a potential extension based on operational needs, and join a leading mining operator on site.

• Maintaining haul roads and mining infrastructure during wet weather operations.
• Operating Dozers, Water Carts, and Graders or Scraper across site
• Assisting with road maintenance, drainage management, and rehabilitation activities
• Conducting pre-start inspections and reporting equipment defects
• Working safely in accordance with site procedures and operational requirements
• Supporting mine operations through effective road and water management

What You Will Be Doing

• Maintaining haul roads and mining infrastructure during wet weather operations
• Operating Dozers, Water Carts, and Graders or Scraper across site
• Assisting with road maintenance, drainage management, and rehabilitation activities
• Conducting pre-start inspections and reporting equipment defects
• Working safely in accordance with site procedures and operational requirements
• Supporting mine operations through effective road and water management

What You Will Need

• Proven mining experience on ancillary equipment
• Water Cart experience (essential)
• Minimum haul truck experience on CAT 777 or equivalent
• Grader experience (essential)
• Standard 11 and Coal Board Medical
• Current Driver's Licence and full Australian working rights

Highly Regarded

• Experience operating CAT 621 Scrapers
• Previous wet weather crew experience
• Multi-skilled operating experience across ancillary equipment
