Job summary

The Shire of Banana is seeking a competent grader operator to efficiently operate grader on maintenance and construction projects, ensuring high quality output and adherence to procedures. You will perform daily servicing, inspections, and coordinate with staff to meet project goals.

Key requirements include a valid QLD Class C licence, safety inductions, and a grader competency. Desirable ITMP and additional licenses are advantageous for progression.

Qualifications

• Current Qld Class C manual driver’s licence.
• Qld General Safety Induction (White or Blue Card).
• Certificate of Competency – Grader.
• Desirable: HR licence, ITMP, Traffic Control Licence, other plant operator tickets.

Responsibilities

• Operate grader to meet required standards on maintenance and construction projects.
• Maintain and service plant and equipment daily per procedures.
• Provide support in operation of other plant and equipment as required.
• Undertake traffic control and implement traffic control plans as required.
• Maintain daily diary of plant movements and liaise with staff for safety and quality.
• Perform routine administrative tasks such as timesheets and reporting.
