Job summary

Tocumwal Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join its Emergency Department and Acute care team on a 12-week contract basis, starting as soon as possible. This is an in-charge role in a regional NSW setting, offering the chance to lead a small team while delivering direct patient care in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will bring ED or acute care experience, triage expertise, and a track record of managing clinical teams effectively.

• Current RN registration with AHPRA.
• Experience in Emergency Department, Acute care, or Aged Care nursing.
• In-charge or team leadership experience in a clinical setting.
• Solid triage assessment skills and experience managing patient flow.
• Ability to work autonomously and make sound clinical decisions under pressure.

• In-charge responsibility across ED and Acute care with triage leadership

Preferred Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) registration with AHPRA
• Demonstrated experience in Emergency Department, Acute care, or Aged Care nursing
• Proven in-charge or team leadership experience in a clinical setting
• Solid triage assessment skills and experience managing patient flow
• Ability to work autonomously and make sound clinical decisions under pressure

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification with current AHPRA registration
• Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification or willingness to obtain
• Post-graduate qualification or experience in Emergency Nursing or Critical Care
