Job summary

Junee District Hospital in rural NSW is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join its Emergency Department and Acute teams on a 12-week contract. The role is in-charge, drawing on your clinical expertise across emergency, acute, and medical-surgical settings.

You will lead triage and clinical decision-making within a supportive team, with autonomy to manage patient flow in a high-acuity ED environment.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration.
• Experience in emergency department, acute, medical-surgical, or aged care nursing.
• In-charge experience leading a clinical team.

Responsibilities

You'll be stepping into a position that values experienced practitioners who can lead a busy department with confidence and clinical judgment.

Preferred Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse registration with AHPRA
• Demonstrated experience in emergency department, acute care, medical-surgical, or aged care nursing
• Proven in-charge experience and the ability to lead a clinical team
• Solid triage assessment skills and experience managing patient flow in busy settings
• Strong clinical communication and the capacity to work autonomously in a regional hospital environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification
• Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) or equivalent certification
• Post-graduate qualification or demonstrated ongoing professional development in emergency or acute care nursing
