Job summary

Regis Aged Care Whitfield, Cairns is seeking a Clinical Team Leader to lead and coordinate clinical care alongside the Clinical Care Manager, ensuring safe, high‑quality, person‑centred support and accurate care planning in line with Aged Care Quality Standards. You will monitor resident health, manage clinical risks and respond to complex needs, including wound care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing with current AHPRA registration required.
• Minimum 4 years as a Registered Nurse.
• Demonstrated leadership in clinical care settings.
• Experience in clinical governance, risk management and incident investigation.
• Strong focus on person-centred care and multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Ability to coach and support staff to build capability and performance.
• Strong communication, organisation and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate clinical care with the Clinical Care Manager to ensure residents receive safe, high‑quality, person‑centred support.
• Take ownership of care planning, ensuring clinical needs are accurately assessed, documented and delivered per Aged Care Quality Standards.
• Monitor resident health, manage clinical risks and respond to complex care needs, including wound care and changes in condition.
• Contribute to clinical governance and continuous improvement through incident management, audits and quality initiatives, while supporting the team to maintain best practice across the home.
