Job summary

Ventia is seeking a Rig Mechanic for a field-based role across sites in Western Australia. The position operates on a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off roster, maintaining and repairing a fleet of servicing rigs and reporting to the Mechanical Superintendent and Maintenance Manager.

You will work with operations and field teams to ensure reliable operations, with hands-on support from an experienced trades team. Accommodation and meals are provided, with a long-term contract pathway.

Qualifications

• Qualified Mechanic with relevant trade accreditation.
• Strong fault finding and troubleshooting under pressure.
• Excellent teamwork and communication with field crews.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs, maintenance, and servicing on all rig assets.
• Inspect and repair rigs as per requirements.
• Order materials, parts, and equipment for maintenance in a timely manner.
• Keep preventative maintenance system up to date.

Job description

Ventia is looking for a Rig Mechanic to join our crew. This is a field-based role where you’ll be working on a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off roster, travelling between sites to look after our fleet of well servicing rigs. Your role? Maintain and repair rig equipment to keep everything running smoothly and reliably. You’ll report directly to the Mechanical Superintendent and Maintenance Manager, working closely with operations and field teams to ensure seamless operations.

Key Duties, But Not Limited To

• Perform repairs, maintenance, and servicing on all assets
• Inspect and repair rigs as per requirements
• Ensure materials, parts and equipment for maintenance or repairs are ordered in a timely manner
• Keep preventative maintenance system up to date

Requirements

• Qualified Mechanic
• Point of hire: Perth, Western Australia
• Tech-savvy enough to track and report maintenance.
• Valid Open Manual Driver’s Licence (or higher)
• Have strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and be a team player
• The proven ability to fault find and troubleshoot under pressure
