Job summary

The Department of Defence, Defence Force School of Signals (DFSS) in Macleod VIC is seeking an experienced trainer to plan, schedule, develop and deliver technical training in RF telecommunications or network routing for Defence personnel, while mentoring new military instructors. You will work in a small team and engage with stakeholders to achieve Defence outcomes.

You will use varied instructional methods (classroom, outdoor, online self-paced) and support up to 30 learners per session,

Qualifications

• High level of emotional intelligence and a passion for instructing.
• Experience creating learning support material and delivering technical training in an adult learning environment.
• Experience with virtualized networking training environments such as EVE-NG or GNS3.
• Excellent presentation and communications skills with ability to adapt technical language for diverse learners.
• Hands-on understanding of LAN/WAN equipment, IP networking, routing and switching concepts.
