Job summary

The Australian Department of Defence – Macleod VIC is seeking an experienced Training Specialist to support the planning, scheduling, development and delivery of technical training in RF telecommunications and network routing. You will mentor learners and deliver a range of learning modalities to Defence personnel.

Collaborating with the Defence Force School of Signals, you will work with a diverse team of military, APS, and contracted staff to ensure high-quality training outcomes in a dynamic

Qualifications

• Experience creating learning material and delivering technical training in an adult learning environment.
• Ability to stay up to date with evolving technical advancements.
• Experience creating, conducting training, and managing content in virtualized networking training environments such as EVE-NG or GNS3.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, scheduling, development and delivery of technical training in RF telecommunications or network routing.
• Provide academic mentoring and instructional support to learners using multiple methods (instructor-led, distance learning, online self-paced).
• Engage with stakeholders to identify and advise on training issues to meet Defence outcomes.
• Deliver training to up to 30 learners in classroom or outdoor settings.
• Work with DFSS team and instructors to enable network engineering training.
