Job summary

CAE in Randwick, Australia, seeks an experienced Defence trainer to deliver instructor-led, blended, and simulator-based programs for Defence personnel. You will prepare, facilitate, assess, and manage post-course administration while supporting trainee development through progress monitoring and feedback.

Ideal candidates hold an electrical/electronics trade qualification, Navy or Defence training experience, and TAE certification (or willingness to obtain).

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in electrical/electronics discipline.
• Navy experience preferred, ideally within the Royal Australian Navy.
• TAE certification (TAE40116/TAE40122) or willingness to obtain.
• Eligible for Australian Defence Security Clearance and Australian citizenship.

Job description

Minimum Qualifications

• Trade qualification in an electrical, electronics, or related technical discipline.
• Previous Navy experience highly regarded, ideally within the Royal Australian Navy.
• Defence, military, or technical training experience preferred.
• Cert IV Training and Assessment (TAE40116/TAE40122) or willingness to obtain.
• Must be eligible to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance and therefore be an Australian Citizen

Preferred Qualifications

• Navy technical instructor experience.
• Experience delivering training in a Defence environment.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Background working with electrical or electronic systems.
