Job summary

Advanced Design Technology Ltd, Fyshwick, Canberra, is seeking an enthusiastic RF Engineer with hands-on experience in RF/microwave design for complex electronic systems.

The role involves designing amplifiers, filters and antennas, modelling EM structures, laying out RF PCBs and verifying hardware in a well-equipped RF lab. You will collaborate with digital, FPGA/DSP, mechanical and systems engineers to integrate RF into complete systems and document results.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related discipline (final-year students considered).
• Solid grounding in electromagnetic theory and RF/microwave circuit design.
• Hands-on experience with RF test equipment.
• Clear written and verbal communication, and the ability to work well in a small, capable team.

Responsibilities

• Design amplifiers, filters, oscillators and other RF/microwave circuits.
• Model antennas and EM structures in full-wave 3D tools.
• Lay out RF PCBs and work through fabrication and assembly.
• Characterise and verify hardware in an RF lab using network analysers and spectrum analysers.
• Work with digital, FPGA/DSP, mechanical and systems engineers to integrate RF into complete systems.
• Document designs, test results and verification evidence.
