Job summary

IT Alliance seeks a Radio Frequency (RF) Field Technician to support a Federal Government client in Canberra. The role involves RF/microwave system installations, testing, optimisation, and on-site deployment across geographically dispersed sites.

The candidate will produce high-quality technical documentation and maintenance plans, travel regularly for deployments, and may mentor junior engineers. Experience with government satellite projects or overseas sites is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in radio communication engineering.
• Strong understanding of RF and microwave systems including design, testing and optimisation.
• Ability to produce high-quality technical documentation including high-level designs and maintenance plans.
• Willingness to travel regularly to dispersed client posts and remote locations for deployments, maintenance and support.
• Experience supporting government satellite communication projects and Australian Embassies or other Australian sites overseas.
• Ability to mentor or provide technical guidance to junior engineers or field technicians.
