Job summary

Advanced Design Technology in Canberra is seeking an enthusiastic RF Engineer to design, build and verify RF circuits and electromagnetic structures for AESA, ISR and EW systems. The role is based in Fyshwick, with potential relocation within Australia for the right candidate and NV1 clearance is required.

You will work on phased arrays and AESA front ends, develop rugged antennas and high‑performance RF systems for EW and ISR, collaborating with other engineers to deliver integrated solutions.

Qualifications

• A degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related discipline.
• Solid grounding in electromagnetic theory and RF/microwave circuit design.
• Hands-on experience with RF test equipment.
• Clear written and verbal communication; ability to work in a small, capable team.

Responsibilities

• Design amplifiers, filters, oscillators and other RF/microwave circuits.
• Model antennas and EM structures in full-wave 3D tools.
• Lay out RF PCBs and manage fabrication and assembly.
• Characterise and verify hardware in a well-equipped RF lab using network and spectrum analysers.
• Work with digital, FPGA/DSP, mechanical and systems engineers to integrate RF hardware into complete systems.
• Document designs, test results and verification evidence.
