Job summary

Eurobodalla Shire Council is seeking a full-time, fixed-term Finance Officer in Moruya to manage Council’s debtor systems, issue invoices and statements, and reconcile financial ledgers. The role supports revenue tasks including rates and water notices, rating categorisation and journals.

The starting salary is A$81,151.04 per annum, plus 12% super, with a view to continuing beyond the term for a successful applicant. Applicants must have rights to work in Australia.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in computerised debtors and financial systems with basic accounting knowledge.
• GST experience and attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
• Strong communication, customer service and conflict resolution abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage Council’s Debtors systems, prepare and issue invoices and statements, and reconcile financial ledgers.
• Assist in revenue tasks including issuing Rates and water notices, rating categorisation and journals.
