Job summary

Allianz is seeking a Return To Work Specialist – Workers Compensation based in Charlestown, NSW, on a 12-month contract. The role collaborates with claims operations and treatment providers to deploy injury management practices to achieve return-to-work and customer satisfaction targets.

You will lead injury management programs, provide expert guidance to case managers and employers, and develop provider relationships to support sustainable health and productivity outcomes.

Return To Work Specialist – Workers Compensation – Charlestown – 12-month Contract

The primary purpose of this role is to lead and deploy injury management practices and programs, to support the Government Services business in consistently achieving Return to Work, Customer Satisfaction and Medical Expense Control business targets, and to provide injury management support and advice to Claims Operation.

About The Role

• Collaborate with claims operations and treatment providers to develop strategies for reducing the human and financial costs to Allianz through structured injury management practices.
• Provide expert advice and guidance to support case managers and employers managing physical, psychological and hybrid work injuries.
• Establish and maintain provider management strategies and relationships to enable support to the business and drive positive return to work outcomes.
• Support and drive the implementation of return-to-work initiatives and innovations aimed at optimising customer and commercial outcomes.
• Implement injury management strategies within team and business units to ensure the continuous improvement of return to health and work outcomes.
• Build capability by coaching and mentoring teams on injury management methodology to reduce the duration / cost of claims and assist Technical Specialists and Team Managers to provide team support and assistance in medical and injury management.
• Design and facilitate training sessions aimed at embedding strategies, processes, and the application of relevant legislation/guidelines

About You

• Extensive experience in injury management relating to occupational rehabilitation, claims management and/or return to work
• Understanding of relevant regulatory and/or legislative compliance requirements that impact the organization
• Demonstrated understanding of strategy development and ability to work with multiple stakeholders to align business strategy with organizational priorities
• Coaching and mentoring experience
• Ability to manage internal and external stakeholders effectively
• Team focused
• A passion for leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
